Choir tour

Hey guys!!
Well I'm sorry I havn't written in awhile.. I have been really sick ( Still am..) But I feel well enough to write a bit!! So I'm going to tell you about the extremely awesome week I had Choir tour week that is!!

READ AT YOU'RE OWN RISK!!!!

Saturday morning I got up at 330 (AM) and got myself ready to go. (It's REALLY hard getting up that early in the morning... Ugghhh... how do people get up that early??) Anywho me and my daddy left my house around... 400 I think it was.. Early early... We got to the church and hehe.. Everyone was already there except Mrs. V. The funny part was that.. if you looked around in everyone's cars they were ALL asleep!! I don't know if you guys think that's amusing or not, but I SURE DO!! Somwhere around 100 people in a parking lot asleep... heh... Ok well I guess that's enough. Well anyway.. our hugemongus bus came!! And we finally headed out around 630. WE HAD THE MOST AWESOME DRIVER!! His name was Bill. I can't even describe the awesomeness of Bill.... Well on to the trip again... We drove FOREVER... I'll have to say.. it was the most boring drive I'd ever been on... Mostly because I was shy.. and wasn't talking to anyone but Bri the whole way there. (And she wasn't even with me very long either) Well there's really nothing else exciting about Saturday.. we drove... ate... drove some more... and then FINALLY got to our hotel. I'll have to tell you though.. Our hotel was pretty awesome. I had a suite on the fourth floor with three girls and a mom... Man.. two of the girls were... REALLY boy crazy... That was hrmmm lets just say... interesting.. Bri and I ended up staying up late every night listening to them talking about boys. It wasn't terrible I guess... More amusing.. hehe.. Seeing as they were talking in the highest squealy little girl voices I'd heard in my day... Well I'll stop boring the heck out of you guys and go on to the next day.

Sunday!! w00t!! Sunday was cool. We went and did a service at a church at the air force academy chapel... it was REALLY pretty!! So hrmm after our first concert we went to a couple of little shops... Umm that was really it untill Sunday night. Sunday night we had a full concert at a church.. I do not remember the name of the church... all I remember is that it was big... very big... and VERY packed. I was surprised to see how many people came to listen to us. It was a good concert.. but a very sad one too... All of the senior's were crying because it was there last concert with the OKC choir... And most of them couldn't sing because they were sick.. so they were crying harder... Sigh... Twas a very sad night... And that isn't all.. I think that night satan was really trying to distract us... First of all EVERYONE was nervous.. even people who are NEVER nervous. 2nd.. everyone was crying and sad about something.. we weren't sure what it was... (Well except for the seniors.. Lol that doesn't count.) And 3rd.. one girl almost broke her leg.. we were all really worried about her.. So we were all REALLY distracted.. Mrs. V. could definitly tell. Even I was distracted... and it takes ALOT for me to get distracted from worship. I am not trying to brag at all just to let you guys know... that is just something I don't get distracted from... Well I don't know.. it was a good concert though.. and we touched many peoples hearts.. God really used us that night.. even though satan was REALLY trying to mess us up. My favorite part of the day was afterwards though.. Bri was really distressed about alot of things.. so I sat in the back of the bus with her and let her cry on my shoulder.. Poor girl.. we talked through the night and what we thought was making everyone cry.. and then we just started singing. Amy (S) joined us. It was awesome to sit in the bus and do the thing we loved best with no distractions..

Monday YAY!! My bday!! So monday I went down to breakfast, EVERYONE knew it was my birthday!! I felt sooo special!! Plus they got me a card and they all signed it!! Well hmm after leaving the hotel. We went to the Cogg railway. The Cogg railway goes all the way up to pikes peak. Sadly enough.... it had snowed all day... So we couldn't go all the way up. BUT IT WAS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL ANYWAY!!! I loved it! Lol I took about 15 pics of the mountain.. it was breathtaking... Hmm so after Cogg railway.. we went to the Garden of the Gods... It's not as beautiful as people make it out to be.. It is a bunch of rocks sticking out of the ground at funny angles... but it is really fun to climb around on!! w00t!! Well that was the slow part of the day... Once we FINALLY left the Garden of the God's. We went to the Glenn Eerie castle. THis was the first place we went that I hadn't been to. It was very pretty. It had a bunch of secret tunnels!! It was pertty cool!!! I'd never want to live in a house that big though..... After Glenn eerie. We went again to the church were we sang the night before. We met all the kids from that church's choir! They were not very many of them... and they were not as experienced as we were.. But it was really awesome being able to worship with kids I'd never met in my life!! So we sang for a couple of hours.. AND THEN!! My favorite part of the week. Don and Jenell Robinson did a concert for us. Don Robinson is the most AMAZING violinist I'd EVER heard. Jenell wrote most of the songs!! Together... THey were... I don't even know how to describe it... Amazingly... ummmm beautiful!! I love them!! And last but DEFINITLY not least a lady named Vicky Mussar sang for us... OHH MY GOSH!! She is my hero... I mean that too!! She is a profesional singer lady.. for those of you who don't know... She is amazing.. Besides everyone trying to embarras me and sing happy birthday in front of all these people.. that is all that happened on Monday!

Tuesday. We went and toured Focus on the Family.. Not much to say about this except that THE SLIDE ROCKS!!!! For those of you who've never been to Focus on the Family. It has a building with a three story tall slide. IT's really bumpy and all... but REALLY fun too!! Lol if you stand at the very bottom of it while people are sliding down.. you can hear these little shreaks of delight hehe... It's really funny how you can tell the difference from a bass's shreak to a soprano (me!) shreak!! And now... Drumroll everyone!! After leaving Focus on the Family we TOURED NORAD!!! W00t!!! It was very neat. Although we did not see much of it... we DID see alot. If you want to know about it.. you'll have to just talk to me in person... I don't think I can describe the kewlness of Norad on my blog. Well that's really all we did Tuesday.... But NORAD ROCKED!!!

Wednesday. We went to the International Bible Society and sorted bibles. Ohh yes.. and as usual we did a mini concert for these people. (Anytime we went somwhere we sang... remember that so I won't have to tell you every time) They gave us pizza!! I can't tell you how greatful I was for pizza when all week all I had eaten was buffet... uggghhh..... We took a couple of fun pics at the international bible society and then left for the Royal Gorge!! I love the royal gorge!! I think it was my 2nd favorite part of the week. Robert, and Allisa and I all went to the middle of the bridge and immediately started throwing penny's off... just like the signs all over the bridge said not to... It was sooo awesome. The bridge that goes across the royal gorge is the highest suspended bridge in the world!! So ya'll can only imagine how far down we were throwing these pennys!! (We were hoping to land one of our pennys in one of the peoples rafts, yes there is a river at the bottom.. and yes there were tons of people rafting) Well we walked around for a couple of hours... and then hopped on the train. (The train runs along the bottom of the gorge) We had our OWN train that ran along the bottom of the gorge.. It served the most EXELLENT food I'd had in my life.... *Drool*.... Especially the cheescake!! There was only one problem... THE BUS BOY KEPT MAKING FUN OF ME!! I made a smiley face with the food I couldn't eat... and he started laughing at me!! I was trying to make the cook happy!! Not make the bus boy laugh at me!! Ok... enough of that... (I'll blame that scarryness on being sick...) The train ride was awesome. I met the three most awesome guys on the train. Timothy, Bradey, and Geoffrey!! Those three guys really helped me come out of my shell on tour. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! Lets see... back to the train ride... Umm there was one car that didn't have a roof!! So when we were under the bridge we went and looked at the bridge!! It was soooo high up there!!! Goodness gracious.... Bri and I went back there and started hearing this... loverly... oriental music.... So we started dancing to it... Haha... We scared the heck out of John and Jakub. They both said they were scarred for life... Poor guys... I would be too... Anyone would be if they saw ME dancing...

Thursday Contest day... Ugghhh... This was the day we were supposed to be able to sleep in untill like 1... NO NOT FOR US!!! As you remember me saying earlier... I had a couple of room mates who liked to squeal... Well yeah... They were squealing with there friends untill around 330 on wednesday night... and then they woke us up thursday morning around 530 by turning on the lights and starting their fun little squeals again... So Bri and I... dragged ourselfs out of bed... and just prayed that we wouldn't fall asleep during our competition. Competition went... very well. Our score was practically 3 1's.. We got two REALLY high 2's and a 1. Which is a very good score... For this competition at least... it's a really big one. Thank goodness though.. we weren't there for long... The stress was nearly unbearable for most. You could see it on there faces. Well once that was all over... OUR BUS BROKE DOWN!!! So Bill had to leave us for the night... Sigh.... What a sad night it was... Instead of Bill we had some bus driver who thought we had some sort of a disease or something... (He litterally had a plastic cage around his seat... seperating him from us..) well anywho.. our bus driver dropped half of us off at the hotel.. the other half went back to the garden of the gods. You see... we had to get pretty for the formal dinner that night. Well at least it was SUPPOSED to be formal... We ended up being the only ones dressed up... Well it was good food.. and I got to talk to Bradey alot more... He's really awesome!! He gave me his tux jacket because I was frozen... brr.. it was cold there... But anyway.. Bradey helped me even more towards coming out of my shell.. just by sitting and talking with me!! After the dinner we went back on the bus with our temporary (Thank goodness he was only temporary) Bus driver. And on to our surprise event!! Well Mr's V said we were going Snipe hunting... heh.... heh.... heh... We ended up playing Broom hockey!! THe most AWESOME game on ice EVER!!! We had three balls.. and a bunch of sticks that looked alot like giant spatulas. We had to hit the balls in the goals of course... (We didn't have skates on by the way) It was really hard to stay on your feet if you ran.... But it was sooo fun!!! I think I got a LITTLE too into it though... I was practically kicking Salem's butt... and he was getting mad, he was getting aggresive and actually pushing me around and stuff.... But thankfully I had Jakub!! Jakub would give Salem a big whack anytime he hurt me!! I started having a little too much fun after awhile though.. I started getting just about as aggresive as Salem was... THAT WAS A MISTAKE!!! I fell and hit my head... REALLY FREAKIN HARD!!! But anywho... I ended up being ok... not feeling great... but.... I didn't bust open my head or anything thankfully...Bradey of course helped me find a ride back to the hotel... and helped me to walk and stuff... (I couldn't see very straight... and I was in alot of pain)

Friday. Friday is boring... all we did was drive... and drive... and finally made it back...

Well that's the end of my week... I tried my hardest to keep it short.. (I cut out alot..)
LUV YA'LL!!!

Just so you know, the word "Y'all" is short for "You all", and thus the apostrophe goes between the "Y" and the "A", not between the "A" and the first "L".
